Christmas, with no Santa?

Yesterday we got together for an extended family BBQ in lieu of the December gathering. The holiday season proves to be quite busy and settling on a day that suits most was usually difficult, so we have a BBQ in June instead. It was so much fun! Most everyone made it out, even both of the week old babies! and since the weather held we had a ton of fun playing horseshoes, chatting, going for a wagon ride and running around with the kids.

Emily still in her dress, signing the juice is all gone.

L to R - Julianna, 5 day old Rowan. Back to Front - Matthew, Reesor, Jordan (hiding behind Jill and Reesor), Jill, Emily and beside them is new baby Chelsea who is a whopping 9 days old.

What a mess!

I leave Emily alone upstairs while I put a load of laundry in and when I come back she has somehow managed to get her Penaten canister open and was beginning to spread it on her face, she already had it on her shirt and shorts.

So I cleaned her up and we were good to go.

You thought I would have learned my lesson about leaving things laying around that would cause such a mess, but nope.

The next day a similar situation happened, but this time with her Vaseline. Her hair was even covered, in her ears, up her nose and her shirt weighed about 100 lbs. Miraculously, she never got one spec on her butt.

You got it, that's the bottom of the tub. It was not brand new, but only about 2 weeks old.

Grrrr.

DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!

Father's Day weekend

This is from us putting around the yard the past couple of days.  For Father's Day Tim and I went golfing then to his sisters for dinner.  I forgot my camera though so unfortunately there are no pictures from the course or dinner : (

She has a thing now for dumping small, messy food items on the ground.

 And she knows better!

Emily is 14 months old!

Emily is 426 days old!  Or was on June 17.  Here are her 14 month photos, plus her 13 months photos, too!  I also threw in a couple of others...

A mish mash from the past couple of weeks...

One of the gorgeous days this Spring...

I hosted a Pampered Chef party and made these sweet treats for my guests. They are so cute, got a great reaction from my party goers, and the kudos goes to my Mom for showing me how! The hamburgers are different types of cookies put together with coloured icing and are topped off with sesame seeds, the fries are a lemon pound cake with red icing for ketchup.

Playing in Daddy's boots

Then her and I went to visit my friend from Calgary. She was babysitting her nephew north of Peterborough. This is Emily and Alex.

She looks so cute and innocent, but yesterday as I was loading the dishwasher and she was unloading my drawers in the kitchen she came across a very old box of croutons. And dumped it all over the floor. The pictures do not do the mess justice as it spanned from the disaster site right across the back of my kitchen to under the TV.

I'm new here

Hello everyone! I figured this was a better platform to share our day to day or week to week lives. Since so many of you are afar and Facebook is loosing its luster with me (among other things) I will use this to post videos, pictures, and tales of our family so you are all kept in the loop!

Welcome!
